The last one of these Ideal P-39s we posted was back on December 21st of last year. That one was a nice blue swirl plastic but without the box. Since then I've managed to scarf one one up with an original box. The artwork is nice but not nearly as cool as some of the other period artwork I've seen. Anywho, Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Thomas Toy #I-140 Wrecker - Red HP
Ya know, quite frankly I'm gettin' bored with just taking' & postin' of cars and trucks. I mean, I think they're cool and all and I had a bunch as a kid but I'm just itchin' to do something else. BUT because The Cave is in such dissarray (and will probably remain that way the rest of the year) the cars and trucks are the toys that have kind of 'floated to the top' among the mess.
Anywho, that being said, we do have a nice Nifty '50s Thomas Toy wrecker today and there's a couple more trucks waiting in the wings to get photographed. The wrecker measures 4 1/2" (11.43cm) L x 1 1/4" (3.17cm) W x 1 3/4" (4.44cm) H and the all metal hook is original to these trucks but is often times missing or broken off. Enjoy! Ideal No. I-3361 Auto Carrier
The auto carrier fleet has grown by one with the addition of this Nifty '50s Ideal No. I-3361 set. It's a pretty good match-up with the Wyandotte carrier we featured some weeks back (comparison photos included here). This carrier is made of blue and yellow hard plastic and has an operating ramp. There's not much room on the top deck and it will only hold one car comfortably. It measures 9 1/2" (23.49cm) L x 1 3/4" (4.44cm) W x 1 1/2" (3.81cm) H. I remember as a kid having a large pressed steel auto transport. Don't remember if it was Marx, Buddy L, whatever...??? .Anywho, it's fun being able to latch on to these old toys now. Enjoy!
