Marx #4672 'The Flintstones' Playset (1961) - Pt 13 Figures: Traffic Cop

While a mustachioed traffic cop appears in the opening credits, this figure may actually be based on others that appear in the series - I just haven't re-watched the whole first season yet to verify that.

Marx #4672 'The Flintstones' Playset (1961) - Pt 12 Figures: Waitress / Shopper

Here's another multi-purpose figure. Some people say she's a shopper for use with the Super Market, with shopping list in one hand and pencil in the other. Some people put her by the Snack Bar as the waitress or car hop. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. She works well in both instances.

Flintstones Setup

On this old setup I did of the Town of Bedrock. I lined up several cars next to the Snack Bar and used this figures as the waitress (carhop?)

Marx #4672 'The Flintstones' Playset (1961) - Pt 11 Figures: Mr. Slate / Grocer / Waiter

Marx introduced this playset after the first season of the show, and all of the pieces in the set were based on what they would have seen during those first 28 episodes. Here's one of the figures that becomes a bit controversial. Some people say he's Mr. Slate (Fred's boss at the quarry), while others say he's the grocer for the Super Market building, while others use him as the waiter at the Snack Bar. He's a bit short to look over the counter of the Snack Bar properly, but a coin placed under his base will rectify that. Me personally, I always used him as Mr. Slate. The arguments I can see for him not being Mr. Slate is that Mr. Slate was always depicted with a necktie while the Marx figure has a bowtie and, there was no element in the Marx playset which suggests a quarry.

He does look like Mr. Rocky Stone from S1 Ep4 "No Help Wanted"

What most of the figures look like under the base - nothing there, not even the Marx hallmark
