Britains 54mm Deetail Mounted Knight No. 701 - Silver Knight, Black Horse, Green Saddle Blanket
Here's another variation on the No. 701 Britains Deetail Mounted Knight, this one with the green saddle blanket that appears as if it's being blown backwards with the movement of the horse, whereas the other style blanket simply looks as 'square-ish' and hanging down straight at the horses side. Moon Over Las Vegas by Bettina
I have been soooo remiss in not sharing photos that Bettina has been taking right from our own backyard, or sometimes front yard. yesterday the world saw the longest Lunar eclipse of the century, however we here in North America missed out on that spectacle. Oh well. That being said, we are now in the midst of our 'monsoon' season where the flow of moist air switches from west-to-east to east-to-west bringing with it moisture and rains from the Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico. The Las Vegas Valley has seen a lot of rain storms but Bettina was still able to pull off some nice shots this week. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
Britains 54mm Deetail Mounted Knight No. 701 - Gold Knight, Red Saddle Blanket, Pole with Banner
Here's the same figure we saw yesterday - well, okay, the same casting - riding a white horse. His red saddle blanket is slightly different than yesterday's figure and he's holding a staff with banner. Now my question to myself is: are these called banner's, standard's, pennants's, or battle flag's? What is the appropriate terminology? The banner may be an after-market repo but looks nice. I am not at all familiar with all the banner's and shield emblems that came with Britains Knights. Perhaps someone out there has done a detailed study of those but I am unfamiliar with it at the moment. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Britains 54mm Deetail Mounted Knight No. 701 - Silver Knight, Red Saddle Blanket
Over the next few days we're gonna show several variations of this No. 701 Mounted Knight. Today's Knight is silver on a black horse with red saddle blanket. You'll notice I skipped from No. 699 to No. 701 - because I don't yet have a No. 700! Hopefully I can pick up one soon. Until then - Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
