I'm going to include all the accessories included for this mold shot in one post as I'll have plenty more posts to make given all the items that came with Marx military playsets.
The seven different accessories that were part of the PL348 mold shot first appeared in the Marx Training Center playsets of 1951 and were made in a variety of military type colors: olive drab, olive green, and metallic blue (for Air Force personnel). Fortunately, Marx decided not to make these in bright cartoon colors as was the fashion during this time for toy companies. One thing I have yet to reconcile is that some of the accessories in this mold were made in hard plastic, and some in soft plastic, yet all were part of the same mold. In addition, for example, Marx made their puptents in hard plastic with the Marx herald, but Payton made the same tent without herald in soft plastic. Somebody unconfuse me please!

Marx made two recoilless rifles. This larger one, which was part of the PL348 mold shot and the smaller one which was included on the sprue containing small accessories. Both are non-firing.
