One of the nice things about Marx Toys Corp was their attempt to recreate the old Marx tin-litho buildings and several of their playsets had them. The downside was the artwork wasn't as good as the original Marx - nice enough to be sure bt a bit less detailed. The other downside was the use of the 'bread box' design wherein the buildings had rounded corners vs. the squared off, sharp right angles of the original. In the Alamo Chapel's case, the newer version is also smaller - giving it less 'presence'. Now, all of that is just nit-picking and for anyone who wants to acquire these sets - go ahead, don't mind me. I still think the sets are very nice overall and were a terrific way to get into playset collecting. Next up will be the photo essay for this Chapel. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
