'Johnny Ringo' was a short lived TV Western which ran from October 1959 to June 1960 starring Don Durant and while it had decent enough ratings it was dropped by its sponsor in favor of a sitcom. At the time there were thirty Western series playing on the networks. Today we complain about the plethora of so-called 'reality' shows spread out over 100+ cable channels. Can you imagine THIRTY Westerns spread out over only THREE networks - ABC, CBS, & NBC? WOW! I suppose Marx thought it had a winner when it secured the licensing for producing a 'Johnny Ringo' themed playset but due to the short-lived nature of the series, relatively few sets were made and it has become one of the hardest sets to find intact and featured a downsized cabin measuring 9" (22.9cm) L x 5" (12.7cm) W x 4" (10.2cm) H with a separate plastic porch and chimney. Unfortunately, my cabin is missing the plastic chimney and it's not unusual for these to be missing either the chimney or porch. Enjoy!
