Safari Knight vs. Tudor Mint Large Gothic Dragon: Fun With Photoshop Pt 1

George Harrison once said, "If you don't where you're going, any road will take you there."

That's kinda where I'm at with the blog. I've got a lot of things in the works for presentation but I also have a lot of things going on the home front and the job front, so mentally my plate is full. It's like playing a game of mental Tetris trying to make all the pieces fall into place where I hope they should be. Okay, that being said, last month I pulled out my Safari Knight and horse and Tudor Mint Large Gothic Dragon and made the two spar off in an epic duel. I'm not sure who won this round but I had fun goofin' around with the pics in Photoshop. I took a whole bunch so in the coming week or so they'll be front and center on the blog. Hope you - Enjoy! The basic initial set-up was the dragon and knight sparring on my generically scenicked base. As the photo shoot progressed a few more details were added. 

Tudor Mint - Large Gothic Dragon K189

This month's featured Year of The Dragon offering, is from Tudor Mint's 'Land of The Dragon's' series, the  Large Gothic Dragon #K189 from 2003 and stands 12" (30.5cm) tall. This guy is one of my earliest acquisitions and one of my favorites. I always liked how he's scaling the crumbling monastery or church walls. I always wondered - did the Vikings ravage this edifice and our dragon came along and feasted on the remains or was he responsible for the carnage? Just idle musings from a wandering mind :-)  Enjoy!

Tudor Mint - Large Mountain Dragon K032

I almost let the month go by without posting a dragon. As this is the Year of The Dragon, that would have been a pity. Today's featured reptile is Tudor Mint's Large Mountain Dragon, #K032 measuring 11 5/8" (29.5cm) H. Enjoy!

The Tudor Mint: Land of The Dragons Medium Mountain Dragon K033

This is The Year of The Dragon and in celebration Toys & Stuff will try to feature at least one dragon a month. Today's selection comes from The Tudor Mint, Ltd., a part of W.A.P. Watson Limited of Solihull, England, a collectibles designer and maker - not a minter of legal tender coins - and dates from around 2004. The Tudor Mint had several series of dragons  and figures from folklore. Land of The Dragons, being their resin cast line, were nicely done, and were decently priced - perfect for a collector on a budget. Today's featured dragon measures 8 3/4" (22.2cm) H and is part of a sub-series including a large, medium, and small Mountain Dragon. These are all European style winged dragons, versus the Asian style which is generally depicted as without wings. I didn't include photos of the box because, quite frankly, I can't find it! It's buried around here somewhere, but not readily accessible! That's OK, it's the dragon we want to see - Enjoy!
