Founded in 1916 to manufacture trucks, buses, and automobiles, Fageol Motors was the first company to design and build a bus from the ground up. These new buses had a wide track and were designed not to flip over so easily when taking curves. The company built a reputation for well made products but it did not survive the Depression. After receivership's, reorganizations, and buy-outs it eventually morphed into Peterbilt Motors Co. when, in 1938 it was bought by T.A. Peterman.
Our Tootsietoy version, made from 1927-33, was based on a style of Fageol bus first introduced in 1921. The toy measures 3 1/2" (8.89cm) L x 1 1/8" (2.85cm) W x H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
