It's A Small World After All: Marx #6652 Guid-A-Traffic Set (1952) Pt 5 Setting It All Up

I had assembled the set on my train layout board a couple of years ago. This was before I started painting in roads and concrete areas and such. The open spot had enough room to set up a custom configuration that allowed me to put the wind-up car though its paces.

We'll continue the 'Small World' series with a look at some of the other HO scale Marx buildings that were in my collection. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

It's A Small World After All: Marx #6652 Guid-A-Traffic Set (1952) Pt 4 Figures and Accessories

Here's the last of the set contents for the Guid-A-Traffic set. In addition to what is shown here, there were a few pieces of Marx/'s standard white board fence (not shown in ad below) in my box. Enjoy! Opa

Shown for size comparison. On the left are two '80s era Preiser HO scale figures, on the right are the Marx figures. The Marx figures are pretty decent for the early '50s considering there were few HO scale figures being made at the time.

I dispensed with the usual photo essays for these figures, opting instead for a front side/opposite side pair of photos for each.

My set came with filling station attendant but I 'm not sure this is even Marx! It may be something they, or another company did at a later date or a figure sold with HO scale slot car sets.
