1990 Post Cereal Barney Blow Mold Squirter
Another 1990 nautical themed Post Cereal Flintstones premium has Barney all decked out for the beach!. Under the base is marked 'HBC 1990' and he measures 2 5/8" (6.66cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
I had two of these in the original packaging and sacrificed one package to take the pics
These bright neon colors were a bear for me to photograph. Unfortunately I didn't have time to experiment with different backgrounds as I was getting all my premiums ready for sale on eBay (seller: marxtoynut)

1990 Post Cereal Fred Blow Mold Squirter
We're getting down to the last few Post Fruity / Cocoa Pebble Flintstones Cereal premiums that I had in my collection. This one is a blow mold Fred Flintstone in sailor outfit squirter. The nautical theme was popular in 1990 but for the life of me I don't know what triggered the rush by toymakers to take the Stone Age Family off of dry land and place them on the water. Under the base of the figure is marked 'HBC 1990' and he stands 2 3/4" (6.98cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
Here's another Post premium of Fred in sailor suit from 1990 blogged on 2 Aug 2013
Today's featured toy. I had one in the original packaging which I left intact

1974 Fruity Cocoa Pebbles Pencil / Toothbrush Holder
Here's one that I have seen listed as either a pencil holder or toothbrush holder and either way seems to work well. While there are no markings underneath, Internet searches appear to date this to 1974 so I'm gonna go with that until I find out otherwise. This, like the other Post Cereal premiums came in a variety of bright colors. Fred stands 3 1/8" (7.93cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

1979 Fruity Cocoa Pebbles Pencil Holder Calendar Kit
I've gotta purge The Flintstones out of my system!! hahahahaha. But seriously, I do like The Flintstones, but I don't like all the little odds-&-end that have collected like dust bunnies around The Cave so cleaning house is a priority and these, along with a bunch of others being posted here, were just sold on eBay a couple of weeks ago.
Here we have two different pencil holders/calendars featuring a head-only Fred and Dino on top of a pencil holder which also has space for a calendar cube underneath. Not having continued with my cereal premium collection I never knew how many of the Flintstones characters were on these holders but a quick search of the internet only showed these two - however there may be more. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
The Fred holder is 2 3/4" (6.98cm) H and the Dino holder is 3 1/8" (7.93cm) H
Under Fred's base it's marked "HBP Inc 1979 '7' "
Under Dino's base it's marked "HBP Inc 1979 '13' "
The paper cubes (there are two) are meant to be punched out of the surround and assembled into tiny cubes which fit into the opening behind the holders.

1971-72 Fruity Cocoa Pebbles Fred on Dino Derrick
Here's a clever little cereal premium that, if I were a kid (well, alright I am still a kid, albeit a very old one LOL) I would have gotten a kick out of. It came in a nice small cello bag that would have been fun to fish out of the cereal box right after opening it. It was something that had to be assembled - I always did like those kind of toys - and you could pretend to be Fred working at his quarry. The jaw is operated by means of a wrap-around plastic harness attached by a peg sticking out of the lower jaw. It really isn't that good of a picker-upper but is still fun. The 4-piece toy is 3 1/2" (8.89cm) L x 3/4" (1.90cm) W x 1 3/4" (4.44cm) H. Thes, like the other premiums we've featured this week, were available in a variety of bright colors. I ended up with red and blue examples but decided not to rip apart the red bagged one cuz I'm gonna sell it! Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
