Payton Products, Inc. Little Green Army Men - Pt 10 Payton Troop Carrier Truck - OD SP

Whatever shade of green, olive drab, or brown the other Payton vehicles came in, you can bet this was available in the same colors. When Miner Industries acquired the tooling, these trucks would be available in a minty green as well.

Payton Products, Inc. Little Green Army Men - Pt 9 Payton Troop Carrier Truck - Olive Green SP

While the Payton tank and motor gun carriage look rather smallish alongside their figures, this truck looks pretty decent, and it's able to accommodate 6 Payton seated GI's without a problem. It measures 4.75" (12,06cm) L x 2" (5,08cm) W x 1.75" (4,44cm) H. Additionally, it's a pretty good match for Pyro's HP troop truck, although Pyro's is just a smidgen larger. Still, on a toy battlefield, they'll go together just fine. To the best of my knowledge there are no repos of this truck. Over the years I've acquired several of these trucks with non-standard replacement wheels which are shown below

Andy Gard Troop Carrier Truck

This will be my last Andy Gard post for a bit. I'm missing the Weasel (the last of six vehicles in Andy Gard's line-up) and I haven't yet photographed any of the figures, so until I get that last vehicle and photograph the Army men, this will do. Andy Gard also made battery operated R/C Jeeps (the kind where the battery box is attached to the Jeep by a long wire) which are a bit bigger but I have no interest in those so won't pursue buying any. Differences between this Andy Gard truck and MPC's Troop Carrier will be discussed below. This truck measures: 7.25" (19.05cm) L x 3" (7.62cm) W x 3.5" (8.89cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
