When I started this Hamilton's Invaders series, I said I didn't have, nor was I interest in acquiring the helmet and pistol that was a part of the line...
...I lied! 😄
A few weeks ago a helmet in fairly decent shape and for a reasonable price, became available on fleaBay and I decided to pick it up. The helmet measures 8" (20.32cm) W x 7" (17.78cm) H and although it was made for kids. it still fits over my fat head! 😄 Now all I'm missing is the pistol.
Yours truly modeling the #460 Helmet
The height of NERD (nerdidity? nerdism?)
hahahahahahahahahaha
A classic old school pose: holding a Tommy gun while throwing a grenade! He's gonna need more firepower to kill those big bugs! Enjoy! Opa Fritz
REMCO offered a total of seven 70mm figures to go with their Hamilton's Invaders line: 6 blue action figures and 1 white generic driver. The blue guys were repurposed figures from their line of Little Green Army Men while the driver may have been a new sculpt (I don't have any REMCO vehicles with this guy as a driver so am not entirely sure). The blue figures were given designations by Tom Terry from Plastic Figure and Playset Collector magazine and, as usual, photo essays of each figure will follow in the days ahead. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
As I photographed each toy I tried to look for any kind of item number or part number somewhere on the piece. A few toys had them, most didn't - this tank was sans part number. This is the only toy in the Horrible Hamilton line that was battery operated and while my toy doesn't work it 'displays well'. It's also missing the 'torpedo' - a small sized 'satellite' of the type that often times comes with toy ray guns (see photo below). As with most of the Horrible Hamilton's toys, those that are in pristine condition, fully intact and operable, command high prices. That means, for us on a budget, we get what we can at a price we can afford. I'm okay with toys that 'display well'! LOL Enjoy! Opa Fritz
