TRAIN TIME: April 1948 Association of American Railroads Ad

Today for Train Time I pulled out one of my non-Milwaukee Road ads. This one is from April of 1948 and features the Association of American Railroads. Even if one didn't know the date of the ad, the artwork just looks like it came from the 1940s. Enjoy!

Train Time: US Steel Ad 1937

From the pages of the Oct 2, 1937  issue of 'Railway Age' magazine comes this terrific two-page U.S. Steel ad featuring vintage Santa Fe, Milwaukee Road, and Southern Pacific motive power. This ad is larger than the others measuring 8 1/2" (21.6cm) x 11 1/2" (29.2cm) as 'Railway Age' magazine was similar to 'Life' and 'Look' in its big size. Enjoy!
