Picking up on the thread of childhood memories, we bring you this stiff plastic troop transport from Auburn. Around the late '50s or early '60s Auburn changed their formulation to a stiff plastic. These 'unbreakable' toys were still quite vulnerable to battle damage as you can see by the pics ('torn' canvass top) but they still held up to rough play.
