I luv this fire engine red color. Not at all a military color for this type of vehicle, but cool nonetheless.

Payton Products, Inc. Little Green Army Men - Pt 56 Miscellaneous Vehicles Pt 4 Tanker Truck - Blue SP

These tanker trucks would make goof USAF vehicle - even though toy companies liked to mold Air Force equipment in a metallic blue. This measures 4" (10,16cm) x 1.5" (3,81cm) W x 1.125" (2,85cn) H.

Tri-ang Minic Tanker

Okay, here's my last Tri-ang Minic for a while. I bought this tanker because when I was planning my Hornby layout I was planning on a service station and thought this would be a nice tie-in. It could've been posed refueling the underground tanks. But alas plans change and the service station is out. My reasons for the change will eventually be revealed as our TRAIN TIME series continues. This tanker measures 5 3/4" (14.60cm) L x 2" (5.08cm) W x 2 1/8" (5.39cm) H. I do believe our next round of posts will be spacey. Processed Plastics (?) TimMee Toy (?) Gasoline Tanker

This was one really cool find. We often associate plastic tanker trucks as being small one-piece plastic castings but every so often a toy comes around that actually looks like the kind of truck we see delivering gasoline to service stations. This truck not only fits that bill it is just the right size to go with Marx, Keystone, or T-Cohn service stations. Measuring 9 5/8" (24.44cm) L x 2 1/4" (5.71cm) W x 2" (5.08cm) H it appears to be closer to 1/43 scale than 1/48, but really, that's not terribly important. The word 'GASOLINE' is heat stamped on one side of the trailer only so there's no doubt in anyone's mind what this is s'posed to be used for.

I don't know who made this but the cab is a clone of Allied's hard plastic trucks (compare with the Allied auto hauler below). This could be Processed Plastics or TimMee toy but as there are no markings I can't yet prove it.

My toy came with a totally whacked cab, as you can tell by the two photos below.

Soooo, I removed the trailer and the wheels from the cab and boiled a pot of water - gonna cook me some tanker stew! hahahahaha no not really!

After the water starts to boil I turn it off. Using a pair of kitchen tongs I immersed the cab into the hot water for about 5seconds or so. I then removed the truck to a flat surface and - using a paper towel or clean dish rag (cuz this sucker gonna be hot!) - hold the truck down such that all four axle supports are touching the flat surface but not so hard as to bend them. Hold for about 20-30 seconds and the cab is now straight. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
