Marx Navarone Giant Playset Landing Craft

Marx tried to think of everything when it came to designing their military playsest from bunkers to batbed wire, men and machines they had just about everything you could need to wage a battle. To get those men and machines to the beach required a landing craft of some sort and Marx came through - sort of. This craft was most definitely a small one only able to haul Marx's Jeep or howitzer - not Jeep and howitzer - and a handful of men. Larger craft were needed to get their tanks and haftracks to the beachhead. In addition, because Marx chose to have the landing craft come with wheels, regardless of what was loaded in its bay would have had one helluva time getting out due to that huge bump on the deck required to accomodate the wheelset. The craft measures 6" (15.24cm) L x 2 1/4" (5.71cm) W x 1 1/2" (3.81cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Marx Navarone Giant Playset Jeep

Here's the third piece in our look at Marx's Navarone Giant Playset vehicle group, the venerable Jeep I can't add much to the Jeep narrative that hasn't been said before so we'll just let you enjoy the photos. It measures 3 1/4" (8.25cm) L x 1 3/8" (3.49cm) W x 1" (2.54cm) H. It does bear mentioning that this group of vehicles came in a variety of OD/olive green hues depending on which playset they were in and some were actually quite dark, while the ones I'm featuring this week are very light colored. Marx Navarone Giant Playset No. 41 Tank

We've covered the Noi. 41 Tank before but as this one was part of the set of Navarone Giant Playset vehicles we're covering this week, I thought it bext to just go ahead and feature it again. It measures 6 1/4" (15.74cm) L x 2 3/4" (6.98cm) W x 2" (5.08cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
