Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men! Here's a good example of how, with just a little better planning or attention to detail could have prevented this faux paux. I thought it would be nice to have a bomb crater near the bridge, unfortunately it was too close. There's very little wiggle room in the placement of the bridge on the display base so this crater has to go. Fortunately the joint compound used to form it wasn't so hard to carve off. Enjoy!

This is as far as I've gotten so far. Next, the patch will need to be sanded down somewhat and new scenicking done.
