Today I've got the gorgeous Marx
Rev War Tavern and Walls. Marx's Revolutionary War, aka Rev War, playset came out 1957 having 60mm
figures. It had a wonderful compliment of Red Coats and Blue Coats, Indians, cannons, with this tin-litho tavern being its centerpiece complemented by two tin-litho walls
with plastic end caps (with a little modification, these end caps were used
as signposts in the Jay Horowitz Marx Toys, Inc Flintstones Ruby Edition
playset ca 1992). In the 1970s, as part of its Heritage line of playsets, Sears released a Rev War playset and I believe today's example is from that set because it has a really nice
matte finish - not shiny as was generally offered in the '50s tin-litho buildings. The Tavern measures 10 1/2" (26.7cm) L x 7" (17.8cm) H x 4 1/2" (11.4cm) W. Enjoy!
