Towards the end of the Thunderbirds demonstartion, the George AFB Honor Gaurd (and drill team) put on a demonstration so I was twisting from side-to-side and up-&down trying to capture as much of the action as I could LOL Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Ed's Travelogue: George AFB Air Show 14 October 1979 - Pt 6 More USAF Thunderbirds
This meet-&-greet was going on at the same time the parachutists were doing their thing so I was panning back-&-forth getting shots of both activities. I took a gazillion photos of the T-Birds so will present them here in a couple of few installments. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
This was the Thunderbirds pre-flight ground show - it's hard to explain unless you actually see it in person, but entry into the jets is a carefully coreographed display between the crew chiefs and pilots.
Sadly, most (if not all) of these pilots would be killed about a year later in a tragic training mishap over Indian Springs Air Field (now Creech Air Force Base)
