Queen of The Skies - TNs Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet

The Boeing 747 was the first wide bodied passenger jet ever produced having first flown commmercially in 1970. It was twice the size of the Boeing 707 and various configurations can hold from 400+ to 660+ passengers with the aid of the double-decker hump at the forward end of the fuselage. There is even a newly certified (2011) 747-8 version currently in production! The 747 is a beautiful aircraft and today's featured toy on Toys & Stuff certainly does it justice. We have a nice '70s era version from the Hong Kong firm of TN which sports a Pan Am livery. At 13 1/4" (33.7cm) L x 12 3/8" (31.4cm) wingspan she's a doozy! This toy is meant to run on two D-cell batteries, unfortunately my example no longer works but it does display wonderfully. Hope you like this week's aircraft selection. Enjoy!
