Next up in our Spook-tastic Halloween week special is The Gothic Chapel from Ray O'Bannon's ravensblight.com website. This model is a smaller scale than the other buildings in the series which are about HO-ish in scale and is perhaps more appropriate for an N-scale village, but being a toy it really doesn't make a difference. The Chapel measures 6 1/8" (15.6cm) W x 8 1/4" (21cm) D x 4 5/8" (11.9cm) H. Once the way out-of-scale figures are added to the scene it'll look just like it's supposed to - a toy Halloween village. Enjoy!
I didn't do a full in-progress photo work-up but there are a couple of points worth mentioning. First, the instructions say to glue the walls together at the roof but I chose to glue the walls end-to-end as it was easier for me to apply the bracing this way.
Occasionally the glue tabs are too wide and need to be trimmed.
When gluing spires on the towers it's best to keep the glue tabs bent up, that way the glue will have a better chance to contact the underside of the roof.
