The American Dimestore series of vintage style cars and truck got its start with a company called Dimestore Dreams founded by noted collector and toy designer Bill Hanlon. Dimestore Dreams was bought by Binary Arts back in 2000 but when they decided to alter their business model they discontinued the Dimestore Dreams subsidiary forcing Bill Hanlon to form a new company called American Dimestore. The new company had all new product using their tried and true vintage car and truck design ethic. The vehicles are based on, but are not exact repos of, plastic cars and trucks of the '40s and '50s. There were only 13 vehicles made under the American Dimestore banner back in 2005 and we'll bring them all to you here in the upcoming days. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
The box art is reminiscent of that seen in the '50s
The open chassis is similar to those found on Banner cars and trucks
