I was a bit confused after taking the photos for this truck because I had noticed something quite odd. This is quite clearly Eldon's Tank Transport, HOWEVER, the wheels are marked 'PAYTON"??? It's evident that all the wheels are original to the vehicle and all wheels have the same markings. I can think of two scenarios for this: either Eldon sold/rented the tooling to Payton, or perhaps Eldon had a shortfall in its production and contracted with Payton to supply the wheels. The truck with trailer measures: 18.25" (46.35cm) L x 5" (12.7cm) W x 4" (10.16cm) H.
I'll post a complete set of photos with the tank on the trailer hopefully tomorrow. BTW, my Eldon tank - the one that would go with this transport - is a bit wide and does not fit on the trailer. Both of these are a bit large, but are okay enough to fit in with 60mm figures. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed
