Today on Sci-Fi Saturday we continue our series of Play Along Toys Armies of Middle Earth 'Lord of The Rings' series of toys. To those who are new to the blog and perhaps aren't too familiar with this line of toys, they are licensed movie tie-in's to Peter Jackson's monumental film trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fabulous books. For toys that sold at a very reasonable price, the sculpting and execution were just superb! Today's selection is 'The Mouth of Sauron' - we would call him an 'ambassador' :-) and is a later release in the line. One of the most noticeable changes as the line evolved was the switch from shiny toy-like plastic to a more realistic flat finish. The finish on this figure was so flat it practically sucked all the light out of the photo!! Maybe it's Sauron's evil presence that caused it....
