For our Fire & Emergency vehicle Friday offering we have a nice small green hard plastic fire engine from Lido. Another Nifty '50s toy. We've featured a couple of these small fire engines before in white and yellow, but I was able to pick one up in green without having to rob the Bank of England to fund the purchase (lookee here sellers, these things simply AREN'T that rare or valuable!). I was lucky and got mine for only a few bucks but realistically you shouldn't have to pay more than $12-$15 in decent shape. Size-wise they're about 1/64-ish in scale, great for an S-gauge train layout or just fine on a 3-rail tinplate layout. Okay, 'nuff said - Enjoy! opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
In the following photos you can see the fire engine parked by a Royalville Fire Department and Built-Rite Fire Station.
