Woodsy, each full moon has its own name and here's a direct quote from The Farmer's Almanac which explains the Buck Moon, "July is normally the month when the new antlers of buck deer push out of their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur. It was also often called the Full Thunder Moon, for the reason that thunderstorms are most frequent during this time. Another name for this month’s Moon was the Full Hay Moon."
We've had some nice thunderstorms this week and could just as well have called it the Thunder Moon. I like options :-)
Looks very atmospheric Ed and Bettina. I really like the Moon in the dusk sky over the roof.
