Here is a terrific set of figures based on the fabulous movie Forbidden Planet. I had bought these so many years ago and never kept track of where they came from, so after a bit of asking around, found out they were made by M. S. Oliver. Several people in the Meta (facebook) groups have met him and apparently he still sells these figures at toy shows and such. There are four characters from the movie represented:
Commander Adams (Leslie Nielsen)
Dr. Morbius (Walter Pidgeon)
Altaira Morbius (Anne Francis)
Robby The Robot
They are all very well done in a soft polystyrene plastic, with Robby The Robot being a multi-piece figure replete with ray gun. We'll post the complete photo essays in the days to come.
