Marx Battleground, Training Center, and Other Military Playset Pieces - Marx XF-92 Convair Dart - Silver HP

While most of the posts in this series are new, I am re-posting several items that appeared previously on the blog in stand-alone posts - not part of a series. Unfortunately, for this particular toy, the only photos I have are low-res. It was originally posted in September of 2013 and somewhere along the way I had lost my hard drive - and all the photos on it - to a virus. After recovering from that fiasco, I went back to the blog and downloaded every photo I had previously posted - but those were all low-res. Anywho, I still have this airplane and if I find it out in The Cave I'll take a whole new set of photos, but for now we're gonna go with these.

The plane first appeared in 1961 playsets as shown in the extract from the Sears 1961 Wishbook. It came with four rockets, two of which hung under the wings and were inserted into spring-loaded mechanism's for firing. It measures: 7.5" (19.05cm) L x 5.25" (13.33cm) wingspan x 2.625" (6.66cm) H.
