'The Adventure Annual' Featuring Pyro Spaceship Artwork

'The Adventure Annual' was published in the 1950s (no year given on book) by Taylor Garnett Evans & Co., Ltd.. London. In it are 18 short stories that take place in different time periods and geared to younger readers. You've got Pirates, Jungle, Western, space, etc., enough to appeal to any kid. But our interest lies in the artwork which prominently features Pyro's Big Four spaceships. Now, to be honest, the artist probably relied on the Tudor Rose versions of the spaceships as those are the ones that would have been sold in the UK using the Pyro tooling. There are also artist references to Archer spacemen (the cover art clearly shows an Archer robot and the Pyro X-300), as well as Cherilea aliens (none of which I have in my collection.

Vintage artwork featuring Pyro spaceships - it doesn't get any better than this!
