Marx included a decent amount of terrain pieces to flesh out the Town of Bedrock. While nearly all of them are pieces Marx already had in use from other playsets, the playmat and 'Bedrock; sign are new for this set. The sign is very often found broken because of its fragile design. In 1962 Sears offered a version of the playset which had the tree row from their Disneyland set, however, the 1961 release of the playset contained no tree row.
