Watch out Harvest Moon, I'm sending the gals out to get ya :-) Bettina and Shelly have been busy taking photos of the Harvest Moon - the full moon nearest the time of the September equinox. One of Bettina's photos was even featured in a local news segment.
The photo was aired today on the ABC affiliate KTNV Channel 13 but they actually used a photo submitted three days ago
STOP THE PRESSES - FLASH! BETTINA MAKES IT ON LOCAL NEWSCAST SECOND DAY IN A ROW
Okay, this is weird. Just now we're all in the living room watching the news, I'm on the computer typing this blog and what should appear on Channel 13 News? The photo below which was taken yesterday and submitted to Channel 13 News yesterday evening.:
The newcaster, Megan Telles, had some very nice words to say while the photo showed big and bright on the screen! WOW - way to go Bettina! Now Bettina will have to find the video of the newscast so that I can share it with ya'all.
Okay, so here's a photo taken today
The same photo adjusted for brightness and midtones. The details really pop.
Bettina also took some shots of the Sheep Mountains just to the north of us. With all these extreme close-ups I had to ask her if she was looking for mountain goats? LOL
Next up are a series of photos Shelly took two days ago. I really get a kick out of her 'gumdrop' moon photos. They look good enough to eat :-)
