Marx HP Auto Hauler

We're reaching into the photo archives for this post. As often times happens I prepare photos for posting and then just get distracted. and this beautiful hard plastic (HP) auto hauler is yet another example of that.

I'm not entirely sure just when this toy came out but it was most likely around the 1953-55 time frame. It is a tractor-trailer combination utilizing Marx's 1/43 scale HP vehicles as loads. These cars were also included in Marx's Marxville line of plastic railroad accessories for their 3-rail O-gauge trains as well as their large tin-litho service stations. The auto hauler itself was a separate sale item and measures 12 3/4" (32.4cm) L x 2 5/8" (6.7cm) W x 3 1/8" (7.9) H (w/o cars). Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Let the unloading begin!

Here's it's shown with anothe Marx HP COE tractor. This tractor didn't come with the auto hauler but is still fully compatible with it.
