Okay folks, we're almost through with my tour of San Antonio and my stint in Basic Training. We'll take a look at Lone Star Brewery and then our last post will be The Alamo.
As USAF recruits we weren't allowed to take the brewery tour because of the free samples of beer - NO DRINKING ALLOWED! Yeah, that was a biggie during basic training, but the folks at the brewery did have it set up to where we could see a portion of the brewery from the outside and there was the cool Buckhorn Bar which we were allowed to visit (they weren't serving drinks - it was mainly an tourist attraction from my recollection). They also had a gift shop but I just couldn't buy anything - no money and really no place to store chachkis'. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
