Jada 1/43 Scale Die-cast Ghostbusters Ecto-1

Here's another vehicle for the Halloween layout, the 1/43 scale Ecto-1 from Jada. I have the Johnny Lightning 1/64 scale version but I'm not a big fan of 1/64th scale. It's okay and has its uses, but on a layout like this year's Halloween set-up, where all the figures are a bit large, the smaller sized vehicles are simply lost in the landscape and practically unnoticeable. The Ecto-1 measures 5 3/8" (13.65cm) L (I forgot to do the other measurements - oh well). Overall it's a nice rendition HOWEVER, the fins are separate pieces and quite frankly are poorly fitted tack-ons which detract from the clean lines of the rest of the vehicle. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

As an aside, one of the biggest slights (insults / overlooked / ignored) vehicles in the pantheon of 1/43 scale die-cast vehicles is the lack of a Munsters Koach or Drag-U-La. Ertl made a 1/18 scale die-cast Koach, AMT made the 1/24 scale plastic kit (which I had as a kid), and Johnny Lightning has their 1/64 scale versions of both, but to-date no one has produced a 1/43 scale version of the Koach or Drag-U-La. But heaven knows there is no shortage of Batmobiles - you can't turn around without bumping into a 1/43 scale die-cast Batmobile - as much as I love the Batmobile it has become a glut on the toy market. Time to move on people!

HEY MANUFACTURER'S GET WITH THE PROGRAM - GET OFF YOUR DEAD BUM AND GET A 1/43 SCALE MUNSTERS KOACH AND DRAG-U-LA TO MARKET!!!
