CIRCUS TIME: Tents - Much More Than Just A Big Top - Pt 2 Have You Got Room For This?

The Circus World Museum at Baraboo, Wisconsin was an absolute treat. Among the many highlights was the miniature circus display which gives the visitor a sense of what it takes to put together a large tent circus. I've seen other model circus displays before but unfortunately I don't have photos of any of them so this will have to do, but they too were quite large

It occurred to me that, as a hobbyist, there are a couple of subjects that just scream for wanting a large space to display an adequate representation. The Alamo is one of them, the circus is another. Both of these require at the very least, the space equivalent of nearly a two car garage for anything larger than 1/72 or /87 scale. Along with my previous post on tents, you can see just how much space they take up, and why the average modeler or toy train buff has to 'selectively compress' any circus we may want to build for our layouts. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

I don't have the dimensions, but this was quite a large display
