When it came to tin-litho playsets, T. Cohn was the closest thing Marx had to a competitor and T. Cohn put out some wonderful sets! Their lithography was just as good as Marx stuff and I've already posted a bunch of their toys in years past. I still have a couple of playsets out in The Cave that haven't been photographed or blogged yet.
Back in May, I blogged this incomplete Fort Comanche set that was sold off some years back.
I never did get around to buying a boxed set but have acquired a bunch of loose pieces. Today's post is about one of those loose pieces, one that came with T. Cohn's various fort playsets: the 7th Cavalry Covered Wagon with plastic wagon and tin-litho cover. T. Cohn actually made several tin-litho covers for their Western playsets but this is the only one in my collection and it's the end result of several separate purchases. The intact wagon came from one purchase, the horse from another, and the cover from yet another! I love making old toys complete again when ever possible. The wagon measures 7" (17.78cm) L x 2 1/2" (6.35cm) W x 3 1/4" (8.25cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
