Boley Armoured Vehicle-Launched Bridge (AVLB) aka 'Puddle Jumper'

Armoured Vehicle-Launched Bridges - aka Puddle Jumpers - are fascinating pieces of equipment. They're used to cross small rivers to enable vehicles and troops to cross and they can also be used in natural disasters when bridges are wiped out and important lifelines need to be restored. I've already covered the quite large MPC Puddle Jumper back in 2019, which is suitable for 60mm sized tanks & figures...

...but I had wanted something smaller for my Marx or BMC or Payton sized vehicles. A few years ago I lucked-out by latching on to this Boley Puddle Jumper which came in a job lot that included a Nasta tank (which we'll cover in a separate post). My sample is in decent used condition, but the peel-&-stick star appliques' have been removed. It measures: Folded: 6" (15.24cm) L x 3.125" (7.93cm) W x 2.25" (5.71cm) H / Deployed: 14" (35.56cm) L.
