Produced by ALCO, the 1000hp S-2 (or S2) diesel switcher was built from 1940 to 1950 and as such was one of the earlier successful diesel designs. Designed as rail yard switchers they were so successful that many remain in service today. K-Line's is a dual-motored version with operating headlights, metal handrails, etc. However there is no bell or horn. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed
