I haven't given up on space toys folks, nor have I stopped photographing space figures and toys, but it takes a lot of work, and welll, life sometimes gets in the way. As well, I did start concentrating on Marx military toys as a means of distraction. HG Toys Inc. space toys have been posted here on the blog before with bits-&-pieces appearing in 2013, 2019, and 2024. I don't believe they had a large output of space toys and what you'll see in the weeks ahead is pretty much it.
This is the only boxed set I have from HG and its been sitting out in The Cave for years now, waiting for me to get off my keester and do something with it. It's copyrighted 1979 and is a licensed tie-in to the BUCK ROGERS in The 25th Century TV show which aired from 1979-81 and while I wasn't a fan of the TV show, I am definitely a fan of this set! The set is one of two licensed Buck Rogers playsets and one of only four total space-themed playsets from HG that I'm aware of. It's a decent set with lots of play value and a must have for any space or Buck Rogers fan.
