Now here's an interesting pose and quite appropriate for Navy figures: a sailor signaling using semaphore flags! I used to know all these by heart (a Boy Scout thing) but alas, I need a graphic to remember the signals again. This guy is signaling the letter 'O' and perhaps it was just a pose the sculptures found interesting, or maybe it was the initial for one of them, or, or, or.... this can go on indefinitely. Enough speculation already. The toy was made nearly 70 years ago, who cares why they used the letter 'O'!!
