Banner Trailer Truck

It's been a long day and I'm kinda pooped so I'll make this short and sweet.  Today's selection is the Banner Plastics Corp (New York, NY) Trailer Truck (1949 to mid-1950s) in hard plastic.  According to Bill Hanlon in his awesome book "Plastic Toys Dimestore Dreams of the '40s & '50s" (publisher: Schiffer Publishing Lt, Atglen, PA), Banner was the first toy maker to put out a plastic trailer truck.  This little multi-colored beauty comes in at 7" long and, for you train buffs out there, would probably look more in scale on an American Flyer S-gauge layout but  still looks just fine on a tinplate layout. Enjoy!
