1978 was a busy time for seeing the sights in and around Shawano County. Here's a nice little falls I had been to a couple of times, but this was the only trip that I had a camera with me. The 'falls' is the result of a small damn on the Embarrass River. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Imperial Toy Apollo Moon Exploring Set No. 304K
Here's a cool set based on Disney's version of Werner von Braun's visionary RM-1 spaceship as covered on SpaceX Central. The set also has the last variant of the MMM sled to be included in this series. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Imperial Toy Apollo Moon Exploring Set No. 304J
Got a bit too busy yesterday to post anything so let's try and catch up on our series of Apollo Moon Exploring posts. The set consists of a figure, a MMM sled variant, and a rather odd boxy looking vehicle. There are two color variations that I'm aware of for the vehicle: orange and pink. When I took the vehicle out of the packaging it appeared to be little more than a non-descript lump of squarish plastic. SpaceX Central simply refers to this as a 'Moon Transport' - yes, but of what kind? After more scrutiny and a short mental game of 'what if?' it came to me that, were I to build a larger vehicle of this type with more detail, that box and cylinder-ish looking detail could in fact be - duh - boxes and cylinders. This could very well be the Lunar equivalent of the Army's Deuce-and-a-Half utility truck. I imagined the vehicle being used to haul cargo from the spaceship landing pads, to the cargo depot! There's even a rudimentary seat built into the casting on which I posed a seated astronaut (see pix below). Another option came to mind: a portable generator. That being said, I'm still partial to the Lunar Deuce-and-a-Half idea :-) Enjoy! Opa Fritz
