I don't do Christmas layouts every year and this was the first year I tried to do one out in The Cave. It's also the largest display I've done in many years.
It started as a simple oval and some of my Harry London Chocolate tin-litho buildings along with the wooden LED-lit Christmas houses I bought last year at Target - and then it just sort of grew. I expanded into the section of the 'L' shaped board I've been referring to as 'Tintown', bought some Lemax animations and finally brought out the Lemax Carousel I got as a present a long ago and somehow never found a use for. There are approx 160 trees of all shapes, sizes, and materials on the layout and of those, a whole bunch are LED-lit acryllic trees. When all was said and done I was pretty satisfied! Enjoy! Hi It's Maria. That's just grand. Especially the carousel.
ReplyDeleteThank You Maria! I'm gonna hate to dismantle this one (okay, I said that about the Halloween layout too but did it anyway LOL). Actually, this was better than the halloween layout - more lights!
DeleteWonderful stuff, Ed. Thanks for sharing all the photos and details!
ReplyDeleteMany Thanx Paul!!! Long time no hear from! Did you stop doing your newsletter? I've been so busy the past six years I don't know which end is up any more LOL
DeleteEd, I had to take a break from it. I still have you on my list. The good list, that is. . . .
DeleteLOL - it's good to be on the 'good' list for a change and not that other list LOL
DeleteI keep telling myself I'm gonna take a break from the blog and it only lasts a week or so and then my batteries get re-charged and I'm back at it!
Superb and festive lay out Ed. I want to catch a train from there to the North Pole!
ReplyDeleteMany Thanx Woodsy! It's quite a fun and festive layout isn't it? :-)
