After trying to figure out what to post today I came across these photos of an Acme Texaco Tanker Truck and thought they would do for today. I couldn't find out anything about Acme as it's conspicuously missing from my favorite book on plastic toys: "PLASTIC TOYS Dimestore Dreams of the '40s & '50s" by Bill Hanlon. The truck measures 4" (10.2cm) L and like many plastic toys of that era, was made in a variety of colors. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
