From 2001 we have this small but nifty 1/64 scale Munster Koach from Johnny Lightning's Racing Champions line. I had one of these years ago and ended up selling it which I regretted a couple years after getting rid of it. Fortunately they can still be had for a reasonable price. That kinda defines my latest Halloween acquisitions - cheap! The budget being what it is anymore I'm not willing to pay a king's ransom for toys I know just aren't worth that much. Back on Halloween of 2012 I blogged Ertl's 1/18 scale version of the Koach and both are terrific because the basic design is iconic. My particular sample of the JL version seems to have production problems in that the body casting appears warped. I looked at it several times and it is definitely a tad bit off-kilter, but again, I got it cheap so I'm okay with it. It still displays well. The Koach measures 3 1/8" (7.93cm) L x 1 1/4" (3.17cm) W x 1 1/8" (2.85cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
Now those are cool toys Ed. I think I had a plastic toy like the black coach as a kid in the Sixties. The gold one reminds me of a kit called Dragula. Lovely stuff.
ReplyDeleteI had the MPC plastic model kit in the '50s but I wouldn't have the patience to work on something like that now!
