Well, today I have a nice little update on the Built-Rite series of cardboard buildings that have been featured on Toys & Stuff this past year. A few weeks ago I managed to acquire a complete set #56 '5 Minitaure Buildings' which has:
- #56-1 Church- #56-2 School
- #56-3 R.R. Station
- #56-4 Drug Store
- #56-5 Fire Station
Although I had already had the buildings, what was lacking in my collection was the box. Fortunately the set wasn't all that expensive and having it helps to answer the numbering system as printed on the back of each set piece. I love the period graphics on the box and the way the buildings are presented as part of an entire neighborhood. For someone who has the space, this is great inspiration for a diorama, or placement on a train layout. The box measures 15 3/4" (40cm) L x 9 1/4" (23.5cm) W x 3/4" (1.9cm) H and the one in my set was kind of rough so, if you don't mind, I took the liberty of Photoshopping the front to make it look a bit prettier :-). The side and back were left alone. The building photos posted here are ones that appeared before on Toys & Stuff because, quite frankly, there were no surprises, no color variations, and no value-added to retaking photos of buildings that have already been covered.
