For those who have been following the Fire Engine and Emergency Vehicle Friday posts you'll notice there haven't been any the past couple of weeks. After looking at my photos I decided none of them were really that great so that means they'll have to be re-done, but that may take awhile given the number of projects currently in the works. Hopefully this Friday will bring another post.
This past week I was fortunate enough to acquire the complete 19 piece Burger King licensed tie-ins to Peter Jackson's 'Lord of The Rings' trilogy. The toys are still in their original packaging, with each figure having its own base shaped like a wedge. There are 18 characters/wedges, and when assembled, form a round display with the Ring of Power at the center - the 19th piece in the set. I don't know about you, but I can't wait until 'The Hobbit' movie tie-ins start to come out in stores. Generally speaking I'm not into the larger collectible figures (mostly because I have no room for them!!) so I hope someone issues a toy line in the same scale as the Play Along Toys series.
Toys & Stuff continues with its LOTR blast from the past by bringing you another set in Play Along Toys wonderful Armies of Middle Earth series: Prologue Elves. The Prologue story line could have benefited from more figures but it was still good to see these offerings. Also, if you'll remember, there was a set 'The Defeat of Sauron' with Elendil, Isildur, and Sauron.
