Jeff Imel of VictoryBuy, Inc. of Scranton, PA has been producing re-makes of the old Processed Plastic/Tim-Mee brands of toys for years. They also reproduce BMC, some Marx, and I believe they have the tooling for some of the Classic Toy Soldiers CTS) U.S. and German tanks. You'll recall I posted the original Galaxy Laser team (from 1978), last year in July. In my mind, the biggest drawback to that original set was the vomit-inducing colors. Horrible! VictoryBuy does indeed sell repos using similar bright, awful colors, but they have finally done the series of figures justice by also producing this set in back and silver (as well they have a nice tan and olive green set). The sets all contain the same breakdown of pieces as follows:
Two forces (in our case black and silver) representing the Galaxy Laser Team and Star Patrol:
-24 50mm figures in 8 poses per force (total: 48 figures)
-2 'spaceships' (X-wing fighter jets)
-Sheet of peel-&-stick appliques'
For my purposes - and for no particular reason - I chose the black figures to represent the Galaxy Laser Team, while the silver figures are my Star Patrol. It doesn't matter really - your choice.
You can use the figures as opposing forces, or they can be an alliance fighting against bad guys from VitoryBuy's other colored sets. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed
