U.S. Metal Toy Davy Crockett Covered Wagon - white wheels/green bed

Last October 28th & 29th we posted two U.S. Metal Toy western wagons, the 'Chisholm Trail' and 'California Trail' versions. Today let's look at the 'Davy Crockett' wagon. There were about a half a dozen different wagons of this type produced by U.S. Metal Toy, all being the same except for the printing on the tarp. The lower wagon body was sometimes a different color as were the wheels but the stamping's were all the same. Today's toy has white wheels and a green wagon bed. These would have come with a set of two or four horses which are a bear to get nowadays in decent condition. Over the past couple of years I've been trying to pick up sets of horses for these but haven't really made a concerted effort. Someday I'll take pics of what I do have and post them. Enjoy!
