TootsieToy #1736 Jet Flight Line (1979) - Pt 8 (Final) Set-up

I set up the components from the Jet Flight Line set in a couple of ways. Having enough of Marx's smaller barbed-wire fence pieces on hand I set those up against the backdrop. However, they are too bent and twisted to sit up in a nice straight row.

Next came the hangar backgrounds and that worked a lot better. While the Marx 50mm USAF figures are all in great poses, they're just too big for the pieces in the TootsieToy set, so I didn't use them

TootsieToy #1736 Jet Flight Line (1979) - Pt 6 Aeroscpace Ground Equipment (AGE) Generator

Okay, I'm going with an AGE generator on this one, although it doesn't look anything like one. Hey, it's a set about flight line equipment, but more importantly - it's a toy! The green is a bit more palatable than the bright red tractor but still a far cry from the original. It measures: 2.75" (6.98cm) L x 1.625" (4.12cm) W x 1.375" (3.49cm) H.

Proper AGE generators

I used my small crate - something I use a lot in my photo shoots - to hold this thing up as TootsieToy didn't mold a tongue jack on it

TootsieToy #1736 Jet Flight Line (1979) - Pt 5 Aeroscpace Ground Equipment (AGE) Tractor

There's a whole series of equipment used on flightlines that the Air Force lumps together under the 'Aerospace Ground Equipment' classification. Otherwise known as AGE, it includes things like Bobtail's, tractors, generators, light carts, wheeled ladders, and a host of others. TootsieToy included a tractor and generator in their set, however, this doesn't resemble any prototype equipment I've ever seen. It's more like a futuristic fantasy tractor, almost resembling a golf cart. And the color would be wrong for '70s era AGE. It measures: 2.5" (6.35cm) L x 1.5" (3.81cm) W x 1.125" (2.85cm) H.

While the USAF did have tractors...
